I heard that we pray a lot, but don't say thank you to our God enough. St. Francis prayer is a favorite of mine. I've asked God often for so much and believe my prayers are always answered. Here is how I want to say Thank You. This is an affirmation, in hopes that God has granted me these attributes only some of the time.

St. Francis Prayer in Thanks

Lord, thank you for making me a channel of your peace. Where there is hatred I do bring Love. Where there is wrong, I bring the spirit of forgiveness. Where there is discord, I bring harmony. Where there is error, I bring truth. Where there is doubt, I show faith. When someone is in despair, I bring them hope. Where there are shadows, I bring the Light you have surrounded me in, so that it may shine for others. Where there is sadness, I bring joy. Lord, thank you for comforting me and showing me how to comfort another. Thank you for understanding me and showing me how to understand others. Thank you for loving me, so that I may love others, too.  Thank you for granting me all these gifts, for when I am not thinking of my Self, I find You in all things. Thank you for forgiving me, and showing me how to forgive others, and for finding forgiveness for my own wrongdoings.
